The key question I have for you is this: If you had less pain and stress in your body would you be a more productive and happier person?
Are you currently feeling pain or discomfort? Do you suffer from acute or chronic back pain, headaches, whiplash, neck strain, stress, sports injuries, or shoulder pain? Are you at the point where you need to try a different type of therapy for your pain, either as an alternative to or in conjunction with another type of therapy? If this is you maybe its time to try something different. Therapeutic Massage can provide incredible assistance in pain relief and rehabilitation; bodywork helps to increase range of motion, improve movement and flexibility, and decrease discomfort.
My training is in a variety of therapeutic modalities and the treatments are typically conducted using a multidisciplinary approach, determined by the purpose of your visit, in addition to any assessments made. My educational background was built from Swedish Massage and Shiatsu (which included modalities such as Hot Stones and Chair Massage) and has now developed with further experiences and training in Medical Massage, Trigger Point therapy, Myofascial Release, Pre & Post-Natal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Orthopedic Massage.
My love for therapeutic bodywork has a long story attached to it, so I will just say that I believe my work speaks for itself. I absolutely love to work with people to help facilitate change in their bodies. My specific specialty is neck work and shoulders. I can do very customized work with people who have headaches, TMJD, whiplash, injured vertebrae, limited range of motion in the neck, and rotator cuff issues. -Jessica Courtney, LMT
