I received my 1008 hour Certificate from the (Two-Year) Desert Institute of the Healing Arts program in 2006 (Now known as the Cortiva Institute) for Massage therapy and Shiatsu.
My Continuing Education includes: 64 hours in Neuromuscular Therapy on Pelvic Stabilization, the shoulder, upper extremities, Low back and abdomen, 36 hours in Myosymmetrics/Medical Massage for Cervical Vertebral dysfunction, Shoulder Joint Complex, Torso, Thoracic Spine, & Upper Extremities, 80 hour Certificate in Medical Massage for pain and dysfunction in the lower extremities, upper extremities, Shoulder, Torso, Hip, Thoracic Spine, Lumbar Spine and Cervical Spine (Neck), 40 hours in Orthopedic Massage and Pain Management for the upper and lower body, 2 hours in Receptor Techniques for Painful Necks and Headaches, 2 hours in sciatica relief, and 4 hours in Headache Release and Repatterning.
I am Licensed through the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy (http://www.massageboard.az.gov/) and have been a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (http://www.amtamassage.org/) since 2007. I have lived in Tucson, AZ since 2005, after returning from attending higher education programs in other cities. My other educational background includes a Master of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago in 2002, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, 1999. I currently have a private practice, located in Tucson Touch Therapies, LLC, and assist teaching at Cortiva Institute.
